Beginning in October 1995, Ben Benedict’s first public speaking engagement was on the topic of Computerizing your Business during the Sarnia-Lambton Business Week sponsored by the Sarnia Chamber of Commerce.

penAs an expert in public relations, organization and community development, writing and publishing, visual arts and culture in Ontario, Ben Benedict is an engaging public speaker and Master of Ceremonies with a number of professional engagements with groups from three to over three thousand.

As co-founder of Pride London Festival he has addressed audiences of thousands from the stage, introduced dignitaries, and welcomed audiences to numerous events. He has facilitated numerous small groups including at the Age Friendly London Conference hosted by the City of London in 2009.

Past visual arts presentation topics have included Marketing 2.0 (Marketing as an Artist) as part of a Webinar Series for Visual Artists Across Canada hosted by CARFAC Ontario (Canadian Artists’ Representation/le Front des artistes canadiens) in October 2014, PR and Community Volunteerism for Art For All Canada’s 3rd Annual Conference and Our Changing World at the 5th Annual Conference. The Business of the Arts on behalf of SIFE York students at the Schulich School of Business, York University in 2012 as well as delivering their Keynote Address in 2013. Additional presentations include Social Media and the Arts on The Other 90 Percent required outside the studio; and Curating and Promoting exhibitions.

Past workshop appearances include as a Celebrity Storyteller at the 16Th London International Children’s Festival, several appearances as a facilitator for Investing in Children’s Kids Power Conference, and the Intercommunity Health Centre.

Guest appearances have included the Writing for Publication class at Western University, and as a visual artist at the Epigenetics EH Conference in 2011 and at Infrastructure Ontario Property Services’ (CBRE) Art of Recycling event at the Ontario Police College.
